HomeAid Orange County and Los Angeles will host its annual Diaper Drive event Friday, May 30 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The District Tustin Legacy.
The diaper drive collects diapers, wipes and baby food for families with young children who are homeless or at-risk of being homeless.
Part of the event includes themed diaper structures, built by local teams including Lennar Homes, New Home Co, OCSD, Brookfield, BIASC’s Greater Sales and Marketing Council/Woodside Homes/WHA and Wienerschnitzel.
The event will also feature free food, games and activities and educational resources for those who attend.
All the donated diapers, wipes, and baby food go to families living in shelters and affordable housing built by HomeAid OCLA and its partners. Since the event launched in 2008, the nonprofit has collected 16 million essential items. The goal this year is to collect 1 million essential items at the drive-through drop-off event.
This year’s diaper drive will be in the parking lot closest to Prego Restaurant at 2409 Park Ave.
