After the dedication of La Veta Village our Executive Director Gina Cunnigham joined Cal Optima on KNX Radio on July 22nd to discuss the correlations between housing and health care and how both work best when looked at together.

While there are many factors that influence health, stable housing is a key “social determinant of health” that directly impacts health outcomes and is an essential piece to preventing and ending homelessness. Simply stated, being without a home is a dangerous health condition.
