Holidays at La Veta Village
This past week, the staff of HomeAid OCLA were able to ring in the holidays for multiple families residing at La Veta Village. We arrived at La Veta Village with snacks, hot cocoa, a tree for each family, gifts, and with our very own Santa Claus- Steve Murow!
Thank you to Intracorp, G Brothers Construction, Wienerschnitzel, and Jackson Tidus for bringing the winter magic this year.

The atmosphere of the evening came into full view as two sisters - recently reunited with their mother and younger brother - excitedly dunked hot cocoa bombs (reserved for the teens) in their cup of hot chocolate.
The joy was visible in their smiles as they took in the fun and specialness of the night.
For everyone in attendance (including Santa), it was a reminder of how we can make our community brighter and better for our neighbors, rebuilding their lives and ourselves through giving back.
From the toddler who carefully made his way with his mom to meet Santa for a photograph, to all of the amazing moms residing at La Veta Village who were able to connect with each other and the HomeAid staff, we are thankful to be able to directly support families residing in HomeAid-built housing.
Thank you again to Intracorp, G Brothers Construction, Wienerschnitzel, and Jackson Tidus for making this happen!
